About Us – Col & Marilou
Hi there! We’re Col and Marilou—two travel-happy Aussies in our late 60s who should know better by now… but somehow never do.
We love seeing the world, but let’s just say things don’t always go to plan. We’ve turned up for evening flights at 6 in the morning, booked bargain camper vans that turn out to be glorified sardine tins, and only realised our passports had expired after we’d packed the bags and watered the plants. We’ve slept in apartments with mystery smells, forgotten to book campsites (repeatedly), and without fail, one of us always gets singled out for a pat-down at the airport. Every. Single. Time.
But you know what? We wouldn’t have it any other way.
This blog is where we share our travel tales—mostly funny, occasionally frustrating, and always real. If you’ve ever made a mess of your itinerary or found yourself lost in translation (or an actual forest), you’re in good company.
